So ... last final was today, and i have a funny tale to tell about my second to last final, intro to art
Sooooooooooooooooo .... i was a bit late to it etc, but i was under the distinct impression that we were to just drop off our portfolios etc, turns out we were going to look at everyone's final art pieces and talk about them. So i put mine up, no big whoop ... and then i ask my art teacher if she would like me to also put up my extra credit.
She said sure.
i pull it out (its a picture of colin and rune i drew and was in the middle of coloring with markers. Its a good pic i think ... rune actually looks manly >.> )
She looks at it for a second and says no ... it doesnt fit the criteria.
im wondering wtf ... teh criteria for extra credit is art you have been doing other than the hwk and assignments.
then ensues the long conversation she has with the class about how "cartooning" is not real art.
thats right ... she said cartooning is not real art as she stared right at me.
she went on about how sure lots of other people may regard it as being real art, but just because everyone says it is doesnt make it so *not realizing the fact that her very statement could be used against her at the same time*. About how sure you could draw like that and yah be really good at it, but at some point you need to step it up and advance into real art. Yes there are people out there who are amazing in their field, but they decided to stay in that childish spot instead of pushing themselves and taking it further. Cartooning is not real art and we shouldn't decieve ourselves with thinking that we are doing great art when we are only doing cartooning.

yah so ... i'm a tard and so is my computer.
all of the stuff on my external hard drive Hikaru was lost by the attempt of my trying to make a backup of it incase it got lost... in the act of trying to make a backup in case they got lost, it caused them to be lost.
i was going to use kaoru to make a backup of all the most important stuff that was on Hikaru. i remember josh telling me how if i did a Raid 1 setting that then the drive makes a backup of itself in case of such things, so i decided to have kaoru have a raid 1 setting for extra precaution. In said process, the computer decides its going to put a Raid 1 setting on to both of the hard drives. The process of making it a Raid 1 setting causes the hard drives to lose all of their data, thus why i thought it smart to do it to Kaoru before i started transferring over the files...
well, the outcome was that it did it to ONLY Hikaru and NOT kaoru as i had selected.
then the Hikaru became "unpartitioned" which meant i had to re-partition it which causes it to wipe everything back to zero. All in all ... i lost all of those files and there is no way to get them back.
Thats not too bad, says you?
Well, i thought so too because files such as downloaded animes and music and software are easily replaceable... but then i remembered ... ALL OF MY ART FILES SINCE I EVER BEGAN TO SCAN MY ART WAS ON THAT HARD DRIVE!!!!!!!!!!! Its because those files were on there that i even was going through the trouble of making a back up ... which in the end causes the disaster it was meant to prevent. ;_;
i am just really frustrated at myself about all of this, and esp because i have a mid term tomorrow and on wednesday. ;_;

the point of this entry is that during this entire time in chicago i will not answer le phone or go on to aim! i want to spend as much time as i can with josh so i am going to take away these distractions from myself.

ok ... currently at the house of holly! YAY! we are up at her place having ourselves a wonderful time.
we call and text josh a lot and confused him even more when Sir would be texting him instead of me. Such scenarios contained many lawls / lolswe went swimming and it was glorious. After such we tanned and that made me .... less glow-in-the-dark-ish and all. le woot
its SUPEr great just having this weekend with just holly. i am loving it *dont even try to sue me for that mcdonalds*

and we also went to the mall ... Westfield Shopping Center. It is a godly mall full of win ... and PUPPIES. yes puppies. they were sooooooooooooo adorable! They were so adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3
um ... there was one holly desired greatly that has been titled by us Spot. Hes a .... hmmm french bull dog? i forgot exactly ;_; but hes adorable and small. i liked the lassie doggie, shiba inu and papillon as well. They were allllll so adorable i swear it. Also a great store in that mall that had such cute clothes and jewerly things. We need to go again.

so the usual "what doth the future hold for me" essay is being done, and in SPANISH!
point is i am having to think about what i want to do in the future, and as usual i come up a blank. So i reworded the question to "what do you enjoy doing that you want to still be doing in 20 years regardless of "its a job" or "i will get money" ..."
and the answer is WORKING AT ANIME CONVENTIONS! especially Anime Los Angeles!
i love working at anime conventions and on anime conventions. If i had my wish, i will continue to work at and on Anime Los Angeles till i am no longer able to! So i am writing my essay about that because it is the only sure thing i have as a hope for the future!
